Hunter Yurachek, the Vice Chancellor and AthBREAKINletic Director for the Arkansas Razorbacks, is set to begin his inaugural season as a member of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. WhileAlarm Yurachek will participate in the committee’s discussions and decisions, he will not be involved in any delib, \moreerations or votes concerning Arkansas or South Carolina.
This restriction is due to the CFP’s recusal policy, which mandates that if a committee member or their immediate family is affiliated with a school, whether through compensation, professional services, or coaching, they must be recused from discussions and decisions related to that school.
Yurachek’s son, RyanoreM Yurachek, is currently serving as the assistant tight ends coach for South Carolina. Ryan, who is starting his second season with the Gamecocks, previously worked as an offensive analyst and has held various coaching roles. As a standout tight end at Marshall University, Ryan earned multiple All-CUSA honors and briefly played in the NFL.
Due to this family connection, Hunter Yurachek will need to recuse himself from any ranking discussions about South Carolina to adhere to the CFP’s guidelines. His son’s role with the Gamecocks necessitates his absence from any conversations or decisions involving South Carolina.
