The College of Southern Idaho (CSI) Men’s Rodeo Team recently secured a sixth-place finish at the Colorado Northwestern Community College Rodeo held on September 20-21.
Despite their challenges, the Golden Eagle Women’s Rodeo Team did not manage to score in this event.
Individually, Ashton Zabriskie stood out by clinching first place in Bull Riding, showcasing his impressive skills in the arena.
In the Steer Wrestling competition, Landen Roggenkamp earned a commendable fourth-place finish, demonstrating his proficiency in the event.
Brycen Martin also made a mark by securing third place in Saddle Bronc Riding, contributing to the team’s overall performance.
As a result of these individual achievements, CSI currently sits in sixth place in the Rocky Mountain Region Standings after participating in three rodeos this season.
The women’s team, while not scoring in this particular event, holds a strong position, ranking third in the region.
Looking ahead, CSI’s rodeo teams will next compete at Utah State University, scheduled for the upcoming Friday and Saturday.
The team is hopeful that they can improve their standings in the next competition.
With individual talents like Zabriskie, Roggenkamp, and Martin, the CSI team is poised to make a strong showing.
