The Cleveland Browns have officially placed three-time Pro Bowl guard Wyatt Teller on injured reserve following a Grade 2 MCL sprain he sustained during the Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants. The injury occurred while he was blocking on a failed field goal attempt, forcing him to exit the game and seek further medical evaluation.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Teller will miss a minimum of four weeks, with the earliest potential return slated for Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens. This loss comes as the Browns have otherwise enjoyed a relatively healthy offensive line, with all other starters seeing significant playing time so far this season.
In response to Teller’s injury, the team has made several roster adjustments, including cutting one practice squad player, promoting another to the active roster, and signing three new players to the practice squad. The Browns will now need to adjust their offensive strategy while they navigate this crucial stretch without one of their key players.
