As the Los Angeles Lakers prepare for the 2024-25 NBA season, they continue to refine their roster and develop talent through strategic signings. The latest addition is Vincent Valerio-Bodon, who has been signed to an Exhibit 10 contract. This type of non-guaranteed training camp deal allows teams to evaluate players while also providing an opportunity to keep them on their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

Vincent Valerio-Bodon, a 23-year-old forward from Hungary, is the latest player to join the Lakers’ training camp roster. Standing at 6’9”, Valerio-Bodon brings a solid shooting touch from beyond the arc, having averaged 41.2% from three-point range during his time with Sopron KC in the Hungarian NBIA. His skills were further showcased in the Las Vegas Summer League, where he scored 13 points in a game with the Boston Celtics and later contributed 6.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in two games for the Lakers.

Valerio-Bodon’s Exhibit 10 contract reflects the Lakers’ ongoing commitment to player development under new head coach JJ Redick. Last season, he spent time with the South Bay Lakers in the G League, where he averaged 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 39.1% from deep. His performance in the G League and Summer League has likely earned him another opportunity to prove himself during training camp.

The Lakers confirmed the signing of Valerio-Bodon, further bolstering their roster as they head into the new season. Although the team does not currently have an open roster spot for him or other Exhibit 10 signees, impressive performances during training camp could lead to opportunities later on.

With the South Bay Lakers releasing their 2024-25 G League schedule, Valerio-Bodon is expected to spend most of the upcoming season with the team. The G League season will kick off with the Tip-Off Tournament, followed by a regular slate of 24 home games, including several back-to-back sets, and a trip to Mexico City.

As the Lakers look to integrate new talent and build depth, keeping an eye on Valerio-Bodon’s development will be crucial. His performance in training camp and with the South Bay Lakers could play a significant role in shaping his future with the team.
