On Sunday, September 1, the Dallas Wings struggled to contain Caitlin Clark, who led the Indiana Fever to a 100-93 road victory. Clark delivered a standout performance, recording 28 points, four rebounds, 12 assists, one steal, and five three-pointers in 37 minutes.

After witnessing Clark’s dominance, it was clear she had her way with the Wings. Dallas head coach Latricia Trammell was candid about Clark’s impact during her post-game press conference. “First thing when I walked into the locker room, I said, ‘Caitlin is good,’” Trammell stated. “We all know that. She hit two back-to-back threes, just unreal there in the fourth quarter.”

Trammell’s comments underscored the challenge the Wings faced in defending Clark, who played a pivotal role in Indiana’s impressive fourth-quarter comeback. The Fever outscored Dallas 30-19 in the final period, with Clark’s consecutive three-pointers proving crucial in regaining the lead.

Clark’s incredible shooting performance, including those deep back-to-back triples, was a highlight of the game. The Fever’s Twitter feed captured her long-range shots, showcasing her remarkable skill.

However, Clark wasn’t the only standout for Indiana. All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell also had a stellar game, scoring a game-high 36 points with five triples, leading the Fever to their fourth consecutive win.

Despite a strong showing from the Wings, where Arike Ogunbowale erupted for 34 points and made 9-of-16 three-point attempts, Dallas couldn’t overcome the Clark-Mitchell tandem.

The Fever will have a brief respite before their next game on Wednesday, September 4, when they host the 7-25 Los Angeles Sparks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. With Caitlin Clark and her team in top form, the Fever are expected to secure another victory.
